The Festival of Corpus Christi is the main fiesta of the city. Every year it starts on Monday at 12 midnight with the lighting, that is, with the turning on of thousands of light bulbs on the entrance gate of the showground.
The Festival is usually in June but its actual dates depend on Easter. The way to know the actual date of the Corpus Christi is to count 60 days from the Easter Monday and we’ll get the Corpus Christi Thursday, the main day of the Festival.
